While not exactly an uplifting site-to-see, Block Island’s graveyard features interesting headstones dating back to the late 1600s and wonderful views to the east and north. At this well-maintained, sprawling resting place, not only will you recognize the names of quite a few long-standing Block Island families (Ball, Champlin, Dodge, Littlefield, Rose), but you’ll also get a wonderful look at vast New Harbor. The Historical Society Museum offers guided tours of the island cemeteries (see above for further details). Intersection West Side Road and Center Road.
