Amtrak has three stations close to Block Island. In New London, CT, the high-speed Block Island Express ferry docks next to the Amtrak station, making travel from points south much easier. From the Westerly, RI, Amtrak station, mainland taxis (Uber, too) get you to the Westerly Airport, where New England Airlines offers regularly scheduled flights to Block Island (see description above). Another stop, West Kingston, RI, is a 20-minute cab ride to the ferry docks in Galilee.
