This granite beauty at the northernmost tip of Block Island has had its tower restored and will reopen to the public in July. Until then, the museum and restrooms will be closed. Should you be here in May or June, don't hesitate to take a closer look at the fabulous North Light, built in 1867 and located amidst the Block Island National Wildlife Refuge. The 3'4-mile beach hike from the parking lot is well worth the effort. The museum tells the history of the lighthouse (and its successors) and explains the role of the wildlife refuge.
